6th June 1944: D-Day, marks start of Europe invasion

Thousands of Allied troops have begun landing on the beaches of Normandy in northern France at the start of a major offensive against the Germans.

Thousands of paratroops and glider-borne troops have also been dropped behind enemy lines and the Allies are already said to have penetrated several miles inland.

The landings were preceded by air attacks along the French coast.

Operation Overlord, the Allied landings at Normandy, is a series of 4 short movies created from original news footage of the time. It accurately details the events prior to June the 6th and the insuing days that culminated in the break out.

You should move an adsense tower or two into the posting area right next to the videos instead of the bottom of the page.
    Just a thought

    Hi Derek,

I agree the leaderborard adspot at the bottom of the page is probably kinda useless. :\

I have been thinking of adding a menu column to right side of the individual pages, same as main and archive pages, but I have tried real hard to discreetly incorporate my adpsots but place them so I will still see a decent CTR. (dont know if I have done that yet as not enough traffic or time has passed)

I made this clean layout as I am hoping it will result in more people digging it etc and adding the RSS feeds to their readers whilst I am new and trying to get a good traffic flow established mostly.

If I end up with some nice top10 spots about war vids or the battle of midway etc for this post as an example... I anticipate probably placing extra targetted affiliate program ads, rather than adsense to maximise revenue.

Thanks for your tip and comment. ;)
