Name That Tune was a television game show that put two contestants against each other to test their knowledge of songs. Originally premiering in the United States on 6th July 1953.
The first hosts were Red Benson and Bill Cullen, but George DeWitt became most identified with the show. Richard Hayes, Tom Kennedy, Dennis James and Jim Lange also hosted later versions of the show which was last produced in 1985.
Recently a new primetime version of the show with Donny Osmond as host has been in development. A pilot was taped in December 2006 and CBS is said to still be considering the series for possible debut during the 2007-2008 season.
